MILTON? Robert L. Montanye, 85, a lifelong Janesville/Milton resident, passed away Friday evening, April 13, 2007 at Mercy Hospital, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born June 19, 1921, in Janesville, the son of the late Leslie & Melvina (Grossklous) Montanye. He attended school in Janesville, and was a graduate of Janesville High School, Class of 1939. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II as a Drill Instructor. On April 15, 1941, he married the former Aleta I. Jordan in Janesville. He was employed for many years as a Quality Control Specialist, working for Gibbs Manufacturing, and Borg-Amphenol Co. He then owned and operated Monty's Pizza Parlor in Milton, until retiring in 1982. He was a very avid fan of athletics, and was a founder of the Milton Little League Traveling Team in 1958. He had also organized the first Girls' Softball program in the Milton area. He very much enjoyed watching all sports, but especially when his children and grandchildren were involved! He was a longtime member of the Milton United Methodist Church. Bob is survived by his wife, Aleta; his 7 children, Everett of Milton, Eugene (Sheila) of Seattle, WA, Rodney (Margaret) of Milton, his twin daughters, Corine of Blanchardville, WI, and Coleen (Donald) Heinz of Madison, WI, Denis (Faith) of Janesville, and Dean (Adele) of Mukwonago, WI; his 12 grandchildren; his 3 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard; and a grandson, Scott. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at the MILTON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 44 2nd St., Milton, with Rev. Wesley White officiating. Entombment will take place in Milton Lawns Memorial Park Mausoleum, Janesville. Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the WHITCOMB-LYNCH-ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOME, MILTON, 828 S. Janesville St., or on Wednesday morning from 10 until 11 a.m. at the CHURCH.
