This is a very tentative placement for Willem Van Garden, since there is no proof that he was a son of Hendrik and Elenora. However, this placement makes more sense than any other.

" I was looking at your data on rootsweb and thought I would share something. You placed William Van Gorden and placed his parents as Hendrick and Elenor Decker, and stated you had no proof. Here pasted below is a note I got a long time back from a guy researching land deeds. In this you will see the connection to Hendrick.
'I don't really have much on William VanGorden. I may have more later this year, since I am now abstracting a number of Pahaquarry deeds down in Belvidere. So far I have only picked up two deeds that refer to him.
' In 1746 William Van Garden received a West Jersey Survey (BB-150) for a 28 A. parcel on the Delaware River, in what became Pahaquarry Twp., I think at least 1 mile south of Millbrook. Finally there is a deed from John Brown to Henry Berk in 1829 for 2 tracts in Walpack Twp (I3-127). The second tract is described as the same land conveyed by William VanGorden & his wife Rachel and Lenorah VanGorden, the widow of Hendrick VanGorden to James VanGorden on 5/12/1770. I have not yet mapped this second tract (just 4 A.). However, I have located the larger first tract, which is at the far north end of Walpack Twp., within 1/4 mile of the East-West Jersey Line. I think the second tract is adjacent to the first. Incidentally the first tract is described as having been sold by Peter VanGorden on 4/4/1794.' "
