RUTH E. STEVENS
Troy -- Ruth E. Stevens, 77, of Oxford Road, Troy, died Saturday, September 27, 2003, at Samaritan Hospital, Troy, after a brief illness.
She moved to Troy in the 1950s and owned and operated with her late husband, Thornies's Restaurant in Troy. Mrs. Stevens was a former member of the First Reformed Church of Scotia.
She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, who died in 1997 as well as by her parents, Walter and Helen Wild Montanye.
She is survived by two sons, Robert G. Bradshaw and his wife Emily of Ogdensburg, Gary J. Stevens and his wife Julie of Ballston Spa; five grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
Services will be at 10 o'clock Tuesday at the White Funeral Home, 264 N. Ballston Ave. (Rt. 50), Scotia. Calling hours will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Scotia.
