Harold Boice
Harold "Carl" Boice, 79, of Tunkhannock died Wednesday at home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Regina C. "Jean" Boice. Born in Tunkhannock on July 31, 1929, son of the late Solomon and Evelyn Weed Boice, he was a 1947 graduate of Tunkhannock High School and was an Army veteran and member of VFW Post 396. Before retirement, he was the owner and operator of Boice's Valley View Farm in Eaton Twp. Surviving are a daughter, Deborah Boice, Tunkhannock; three sons, Carl R. Boice, Rochester, N.Y.; Michael A. Boice, and George W. Matte, both of Tunkhannock; a sister, Shirley Stefanko, Tunkhannock; a brother, Delmar Boice, Tunkhannock; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy Glover.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, by the Rev. Lori Robinson, pastor of the Eatonville United Methodist Church. Interment, Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock. Friends may call Sunday, 3 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wyoming County Humane Society, 9 E.
