Pearl Edward Musser was born in Loran, Illinois Jan. 19, 1883 and died on Wednesday, July 24, 1929 at a Cedar Rapids hospital, aged 46 years,6 months, and 5 days. His father, Henry Musser died in 1913 and a brother Ernie died in 1916.
On November 18, 1902, Pearl Musser, was married to Mand Stella Franks and to this union were bron 2 children, Bernice Pflughaupt of the Marion vicinity, and Erwin Musser, Central City. These children, and 5 grandchildren besides the wodow, survive, as do two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Kokemuller of Central city and Mrs. Avis of Maquoketa, and one brother, Chester Musser of Maquoketa. His mother Mrs. Maggie Musser also survives.
Pearl had been operated on for gall stones and appendicitis, surgery taking place on July 13. For several days Mr. Musser was reported as not so well, but then word came he was gaining until stricken with uremic poisoning.
The funeral was held at the Methodist Church by Rev. Roscoe Sires, a friend of the family, former pastor, now from Buck Creek.
