"The first warrant for lands in the Manor was made to Henry Hollingsworth, for 200 acres lying on the south side of the headwaters of Shellpot Creek, adjoining the lands of Thomas Hollingworth, purchased about the same time." According to 1696 tax rolls, Nathaniell Cartmell will come to reside on land adjacent to both Hollingsworths, and his brother-in-law William Pool(e) will live adjacent to Thomas Hollingsworth
