FYI - FMG is unclear about what year Râ©naud de Broyes, his son, died. It seems all but certain that Râ©naud died during the first battle of the 1st Crusade, which was the "Siege of Nicaea". FMG estimates the year of this siege to [1196]. The dating system might favor the year 1196, but Wikipedia shows the siege taking place from 14 May to 19 June 1097. Greek for Nicaea is ÕùÕØÕâ«Õ±ÕÏÕ±, and it was in the Byzantine Empire in the 1100s. Today, it is Æâcalled Iznik, Turkey.
