**Christian (Jr) (Imm) MEYER, b. ca. 1705 in Langenzell, Pfalz, GERMANY, m. *Magdalena (MEYER), aft. 1742 in Philadelphia Co, PA, d. May 1787 in Franconia, Philadelphia/Montgomery Co, PA, Was a farmer; Was involved in a controversy with his nephew, Rev Christian FUNK, regarding taxes imposed by Congress to support the Revolution. FUNK was against paying taxes to support the rebellion, and he was ultimately expelled from the Mennonite Church., Purchased 170 acres from James and Martha STEEL 14 November 1729 in Franconia, Philadelphia/Montgomery Co, PA, He (or his father?) signed a petition requesting that the Township of Salford be divided so as to establish the Township of Franconia. The petition was drafted by Henry PANEBECKER in 1731 and was preseented to the Court of Quarter Sessions of Philadelphia County 6 March 1731/2, Listed on the "Lower Salford Tax List", an enumeration of those landholders who payed the Proprietor an annual quit-rent 1734, Was one of the founders of the Mennonite Meeting House in Salford (land purchased by Henry FUNK, Dielman KOLB, both ministers, and Christian MEYER and Abraham REIFF, deacons) ca. 1738, Resided with *Magdalena (MEYER), aft. 1742 in Franconia, Philadelphia/Montgomery Co, PA, Naturalized 11 April 1743, Made will (Montco 1.114) (see "**Christian (Jr) (Imm) MEYER- 1782 Will" in Documents) 26 April 1782, Will probated 31 May 1787 in Franconia, Philadelphia/Montgomery Co, PA,
