Billy Lee Routh
Billy Lee Routh, 77, passed away peacefully Sept. 14, 2009, in Fort Collins, Colo., of a sudden illness surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in June 13, 1932, in Rock Springs to William Howard Routh and Letha Miller.
He graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1951.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion.
He was in business with Howard Routh & Sons, was the operator of Routh Construction Company and went on to own and operate restaurants and motels.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; one son Bob Routh and wife Debbie of Rock Springs; two daughters Jacqueline Yeend and husband Jerry of Laramie, Susan McGilvra and husband Tom of Arizona, seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; step-mother Betty Routh of Tucson, Ariz.; one sister Paloma Lopez-Santiago of Tuscon, Ariz., and two brothers Robert Routh and wife Louise of Ivins, Utah, Kenneth Routh and wife Linda of Rock Springs; two sister-in-laws, several nieces and nephews, all his many friends, his dog Rusty and all those damn kids.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Billie Marie Routh; his grandson Robert "Robbie" Routh, two brothers Donald Routh, Richard Platt, his parents and grandparents.
Services will be provided by Vase Funeral Home at the S.C.M. Parish Center, 624 Bridger Avenue in Rock Springs at 1 p.m. Saturday. Bishop Mickey Druce will conduct the proceedings.
A celebration of his life will follow.
Military graveside services and interment will be in the Mountain View Section of Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Vase Funeral Chapel, 154 Elk Street in Rock Springs and again Saturday morning at the S.C.M. Parish Center one hour prior to services.

Services for Donald Wayne Routh, 52, Routh’s Trailer Court, Rock Springs, were conducted Wednesday, Aug. 4 at the Vase Funeral Home. The Rev. H. Eugene Warren officiated.
Burial was in the Mountain View Cemetery.
Ray I. Black, Dave W. Platt, Dean Platt, Jim Lucky, John Gatti and Bob Routh served as pallbearers.
Mr. Routh died Saturday, July 31 at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County after injuries sustained in a head-on auto collision.
He was born at Rock Springs on Sept. 1, 1930, the son of Howard Routh of Rock Springs and Letha Miller Platt of Los Osos, Calif. He graduated from high school at Cheyenne and was the owner and operator of the Kasbah Lounnge and Café in Rock Springs at the time of his death. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served with the United States Army. He married the former Cherril Ann Service.
Services include his wife, Cherril, one son, Eric, and a daughter, Stacy, all of Rock Springs; his father and stepmother, Howard and Betty Routh of Rock Springs; his mother and stepfather, Letha and Jack Platt of Los Osos, Calif., four brothers, Bill of Los Osos, Calif., Bob of Salt Lake City, Utah, Kenneth and Richard of Rock Springs; several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
