Is this book still in print.? Does it have sources? Is it a compilation of many authors or one author? What is its reputation for accuracy?
I understand the book links Alcinda Grim, wife of Charles Grim, Sr. to John Armstrong and Mary Kennedy. John Armstrong's will doesn't mention Alcinda (Alcie) though one of his sons has a daughter of that name.
Charles Grim and his brothers and parents are known to have been in the same area as the Armstrongs and many of Christian's descendants bear that name. Family lore says that the Armstrongs sheltered the Grims when they first arrived in Greene Co. during a fierce snowstorm.

The book is still in print. And I found Charles Grim b 1777 in Maryland, married Alcinda Armstong, (b 1736 in Pa.) daughter of John and Mary Kennedy Armstrong. She was the granddaughter of Adam and Margaret Armstrong who came from Ireland. Charles and Alcinda were married in Greene Co PA and moved to Monroe County, Ohio around 1840. They had six known children Joseph (b 1804), Mary (b 1809) married Jonathan Kerns, Armstrong (b1810 in PA). married Mary A. Scott and 2nd to Matilda, Thomas (b 1814) married Eve Bish, Barnett Perry (b 1819) married Jemima and Charles (b 1821) married Catherine. Charles and Alcinda died in Monroe COunty between 1850 and 1860.
Joseph Grim was a farmer and blacksmith he married Elizabeth Piatt (I think this should be Pratt). She was born in 1803 in NJ or PA. She was the daughter of John PRATT ( I believe he is an ancestor of mine on my father's side). The book states he was probably married twice and one may have been an Indian. Children: Polly (b 1773), Jeremiah (b 1777), Nancy (1780), Samuel (b 1790), whose second wife was Mary, John Jr., and Elizabeth Ann.
Joseph and Elizabeth had a daughter Sarh who married William Price ( My mother's side of the family) They had another daughter Margaret who married Joseph Menges. their son Joseph married Leona Kinney. Their daughter Mary Liva b 1905 married Palmer Robinson [Mary Liva and Palmer Robinson's dau.] Sara married Neil Cramblett first and then John Johnson. Sara was the one who wrote this article.
The book was written my family members.
I have one side of my family listed twice with two different stories. But this might be a good start for you.
You can get the book by emailing (XXXXX@XXXX.XXX) She handles the book orders for the genealogy society.
This was on page 146 of the book. The cost of the book is $55.
