WAGONER, the third son of Andrew and Mary Wagoner, was born in St. Clair County, Missouri, May 30th, 1867, and departed this life November 2, 1925, aged 58 years, 5 months and 2 days. His early life was spent on a farm in Missouri, and at the age of 16 he moved to Encampment, Wyoming, where he resided until May 1892, when he and his sister Hannah, came to Carroll County, Indiana, where he has since resided. On October 29, 1894, he was united in marriage to Eva Wise, daughter of Issac and Susan Wise, and this companion with the following children mourn the loss of husband and father, Mrs. Ruth Maxwell of Logansport, Indiana, Mrs. Mary Shonk of near Culter, Indiana, Charley Wagoner of Logansport, who has been unable to be at the home on account of serious illness himself, Mrs. Bertha George of near Camden, Indiana, Mrs. Lula Shanks of Deer Creek, Indiana, Mrs. Eva Lennon of Roundup, Montana, Mrs. Elda Hazelgrove, of Camden, Indiana, John Junior and Joe at home, and 10 grandchildren. In 1895 he united with the Old Order German Baptist Dunkard Church, south of Camden and lived a faithful member in accordance with the teachings of the church. His father preceded him in death on March 11, 1911, and besides the family at home he leaves an aged mother, Mrs. Mary Wagoner, who is 89 years old, and the following brothers and sisters, Samuel Wagoner of Ripon, California, Noah Wagoner of Pyrmont, Indiana, Mrs. Katie Murray of Salida, California, Jacob Wagoner of West Phalia, Kansas, Mrs. Hannah Pantle of Encampment, Wyoming, Mrs. Lizzie Wise of Flora, Indiana, Mrs. Lydia Barnhart of Sawyer, Kansas, Andrew J. of Encampment, Wyoming, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn with the family. His life was one of service and friendship to all the community, and to know him was to know a friend. Funeral by Brother Aaron P. Metzger assisted by the home Brethren.
