1675 made his last will and testament where he was described as a mason, he left each of his daughters £10 or £20 (Elizabeth) and a one third share of his crops, a cow and household goods together with one or two (Elizabeth) acres lying in the common lands of Pirton. As there was only one cow in the inventory they presumably had a third of it each. The residue of his estate was left to Robert.
LAST WILL & TESTAMENT of Francis Primitt 1674 104HW5 In the name of God Amen, I Francis Primitt of Pirton in the County of Hertford Mezson being sick in body but in perfect mind and memory praise be therefore given to Almighty God, do make and ordaine this my present last will and testament in manor and forme Following (that is to say) first and principally I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping through the merite Death and passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have Full and free pardon and forgivenesse of all my sins and to Inherit everlasting life and body I Commit to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named, and as touching the disposition of all such temporall Estate as it hath pleased Allmighty God to bestow upon me, I give and dispose thereof as followeth.
Imprimis I will that my debts and Funerall charges shall be paid and discharged.
Item I give unto Elizabeth my Eldest daughter two acres of Arable land lying in the common feilds of Pirton whereof one acre Lyeth in the windmill Feilds in A shott their called Dockielands the Lands of Thomas White on the west and the lands of John Hamonds East one other Acre of the same Lying in Northmeads feilds one rood Lying in a shot their called StoneLands the Lands of John Hamonds on both sides and another half Acre butting uppon the same roods and one rood more of the same butting upon a Land of John Hamonds and the Lands of Robert Collison on the north.
Item I give more unto my daughter Elizabeth twenty pound of lawfull English money.
Item I give unto my daughter Mary one acre of lands Lying in the common feilds of Pirton in the feilds called the windmill feilds one half acre of the same Lying in a shot called Harthill the lands of John Hamonds on the west and the lands of Thomas Vaus on the East one half acre more of the same lying in the same feilds in a shot their called Stonelands the of John Roberts East and the Lands of Nicholas Sex West.
Item I give more unto my daughter Mary Ten pounds of Lawfull English money to be paid her when she doth accomplish the term of one and twenty years.
Item I give unto my daughter Susan one acre of lands Lying in the Common feilds of Pirton in the feilds Called Hambridge feilds in a shot their called Wetshieds furlonds the land of Robert Hamonds on the West.
Item I give more unto my daughter Susan ten pounds of Lawfull English money to be paid her when she doth accomplish the terme of one and twenty years.
Item all the crop growing upon the lands given to my daughters and all my household goods and the cow to be equally destributed amongst the three.
Item all the rest of my estate in the lands and the crop growing upon the same in Pirton and all the rest and residue of my personall estate in bills or bonds and reddy money unbequeared to my son Robert and do make my son Robert and my daughter Elizabeth Executours of this my Last will and Testament and I doo hereby revoke ?samell and make void all former wills and testaments by me heere before made.
