1829 aged 23, probably the William Dawson who was convicted of the robbery of John Kingsley, stealing a leather purse, 6d, a sovereign and 12 shillings. Sentenced to death at the Herts Assize Court but received clemency to life, transported 9 May 1830 on the "Marquis of Huntley" arriving in New South Wales 21 Aug 1830.
