    Ann Charlotte Bartholomew (died 1862), was an English flower and miniature painter, and author. Bartholomew was the daughter of Arnall Fayermann and niece of John Thomas, bishop of Rochester. She was born near the beginning of the nineteenth century at Loddon, Norfolk. In 1825 she published a farce (first acted at the Marylebone Theatre in May 1849) with the title It's only my Aunt. In 1827 she married the composer Walter Turnbull.

    As his widow she published in 1840 the Songs of Azrael and other harmless poems. In the same year she became the second wife of the flower painter, Valentine Bartholomew. She wrote one other play, which appeared in 1845, with the title of The Ring, or the Farmer's Daughter, a domestic drama in two acts. She occasionally exhibited flower or fruit pieces; the print-room of the British Museum has one beautiful water-colour drawing in this kind; but her chief employment was upon miniatures for brooches and jewellery. She last exhibited in 1856 and 1857, and died 18 August 1862.

    In the following year (1840), Valentine Bartholomew married Ann Charlotte Turnbull (d. 1862, authoress and flower and miniature painter), widow of the musical composer Walter Turnbull.

    Born, Anne Charlotte Fayerman, at the time of this portrait, the artist was married to Mr Walter Turnbull who died in 1838. Later that same year, she married the artist Valentine Bartholomew (British, 1799-1879).

    Nee Anne Charlotte Fayerman. Born at Loddon, Norfolk, 28.3.1800. Became a writer of plays and poems, a miniaturist, and a figure and flower ptr. Exd. at the R.A., B.I. and S.B.A., 1826-1862. Her exhibits included a portrait of George Cruikshank and miniatures for brooches and bracelets.
