GED-Inline-Validierungsstatistik
Genealogie Online überprüft alle eingehenden GEDCOM-Dateien mit dem GED-Inline-Validator (Quelle). Benutzer werden benachrichtigt, wenn Warnungen vorliegen und benutzerdefinierte Tags verwendet werden.
Die Anzahl der Warnungen bezieht sich auf die Übereinstimmung der GEDCOM-Datei mit der GEDCOM-Spezifikation. Wenn Warnungen vorliegen, besteht die Möglichkeit, dass die GEDCOM-Datei von einem anderen Stammbaum-Programm oder -Dienst nicht vollständig verstanden wird und das Risiko eines Informationsverlusts besteht! Der Wert "Benutzerdefiniert" steht für die Anzahl der Zeilen in der GEDCOM-Datei, in denen eine sogenannte benutzerdefinierte Variable verwendet wird. Solche Tags sind innerhalb von GEDCOM gültig, aber die Bedeutung davon ist in der GEDCOM-Spezifikation nicht festgelegt. Und oft werden diese benutzerdefinierten Tags nicht öffentlich dokumentiert. Wenn also Programm "A" bestimmte Informationen in ein benutzerdefiniertes Tag einfügt, weiß Programm "B" wahrscheinlich nicht, um welche Informationen es sich handelt und was es damit tun soll. Im besten Fall werden diese Werte als Kommentare eingefügt, im schlimmsten Fall werden diese Werte ignoriert. Die benutzerdefinierten Tags erhöhen somit auch das Risiko von Informationsverlust.
