George and Ida were active members of the First Presbyterian Church ofAckley and its organizations. George was also an active member of theFranklin County Farm Bureau and Ackley's community chorus, and Ida was anactive member of the Ackley Garden club. She was also a bee keeper.George and Ida were the parents of three sons, two by adoption ininfancy: Walter Dwight, a farmer who died of a heart attack in 1965;Laurence William, a veterinarian who died in a vehicle accident in 1969,unmarried; and John F., who died on the day of his birth in 1923.
George and Ida left the family farmstead and moved to the Presbyterianhome in 1970. Ida died on December 10, 1973 and George died on May 26,1975.

Ackley World Journal 6-10-1910. Miss Bertha Jansonius and sister, Ida,who had been teaching in Idaho the past year have again returned toAckley. The young ladies went out a year ago last April and afterattending summer school secured positions and have been very successfulin their chosen work. Their schools closed the early part of May butthey waited to take advantage of the excursion rates to the East andstopped at Salt Lake City, Denver, and other places of interest on theirreturn trip.
8-26-1910 - Misses Bertha and Ida Jansonius left yesterday for Idahowhere they will again be employed as teachers. Bertha at Starr and Idaat Middleton, the two places being connected by an electric car line. OnAug 27, 1910 their brother, Henry Jansonius, age 14 died of infantileparalysis.
