The wedding of Eunice Whilomena,
fifth daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr.
Robert McAuley, Bathurst-street, and
Joseph, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. M.
J. Leonard, Connaught-crescent, took
place at the Church of the Apostles,
Launceston, last Thursday evening.
Rev. Father Murphy officiated.
The bride's frock of ice blue crepe
cordella was adorned with a spray of
orange blossom, and her picture hat in
the same shade was trimmed with tiny
pink flowers. She carried a shower
bouquet of pink carnations, roses, and
fern, which trailed to the hem of her
frock.
The bridesmaids were Miss Marjory
McAuley (sister of the bride) and Miss
Gertrude Leonard (sister of the
'groom) They wore pale pink cordella
f'rocks, with black velvet sashes and
black gloves, and their black picture
hats were trimmed with pink roses.
Their bouquets were of delphiniums,
pink carnations, gypsophila, and fern.
Mr. Arthur Waters was best man,
and the groomsman was Mr. Jack
Leonard. The bride's brother, Mr. Leo
McAuley, gave her away.
During the signing of the register
Mr. G. Munting sang "Because." 'Mrs.
T. Traynor was organist. Lucky horse-
shoes were placed on the bride's arm
by the bridegroom's little brother and sister.
After the ceremony 30 guests were
entertained at the Grotto by the bride-
groom's mother. T'he two-tier wedding
cake, which she presented, was iced in
blue to tone with the bride's frock.
The bride's trave'ling ensemble was
of black wool de Chine, worn with a
pink satin blouse and black toque and
accessories. The honeymoon is being
spent in the South.
