Dear Henri Roodveldt, Sorry I took so long to answer your mail, I was without my computer for 3 weeks, luckily I have it back now. When I was in Holland the last time about 6 years ago, I was also surprised to find quite a lot of Roodveldts. I met some 3 families but have lost contact with them in the meantime. Here is my story. I am also Dutch and speak and write it although I never went to school in Holland but both my parents were Dutch and we spoke Dutch at home. My maiden name is Groen.I always lived in English speaking countries untill we came to Argentina in April 1938. That is where i met my housband Jacques Roodveldt who came to Argentina from Holland at the beginning of 1938. His father's name was David Roodveldt and his mother was Duifje Buys. My husband passed away in August 1970 Before his 52ned. birthday. We found out after the war that his father, mother and 2 brothers perished in Auswitz. I do not know much of the Roodveldt family except that my husband told me that they had very little contact and were more in touch with his mothers family, (Buys). I never met his family because we married in September 1943. I hope that this information is of use to you and would gladly answer any questions you ask me. Best regards,
