BIOGRAPHY: In 1829 he paid a debt in Randolph County. On February 18,1833 in Randolph County, he became the guardian of Michael, John, J.Bashey, and William Crawford, the children of Michael Crawford andElizabeth (Rowland) Crawford.
WILL: His will names his unmarried children: Betsey, Patsy, Sally, NancyL., and James. It also names his married children: William, Winbrow,Delaney, Luvania, and Susan, as well as his wife, Margaret. WilliamRowland was the executor. The witnesses were Terry Bradley, ThomasSears, and John Owings.
PROPERTY: He bought 20 acres from Henry Zermegade in 1838 in RandolphCounty.
PROPERTY: On May 6, 1839, he engaged in another Randolph County realproperty transaction with persons named Astensmeir.
DEATH: He died of cancer of the tongue.
BURIAL: He is buried in the Roland Cemetery near Huntsville. The RolandCemetery is located on the Prewitt farm, formerly the John YoungerRowland farm. It is also known as the "Rowland/Alverson Cemetery."
