Brother Archie Sappenfield, age 46, went to be with The Lord on Friday, April 25, 2008 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
The son of Robert Calvin and Carrie June (Merritt) Sappenfield, was born February 22, 1962 in Yakima, Washington.
He moved from Texas to this area 20 years ago and retired from the Arkansas Highway Department. He was pastor of The Liberty-Landmark Missionary Baptist Church at Harmon. Archie enjoyed life and spending time with family and friends. He was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. His plan was to restore an old pick-up truck, which was in progress at his passing.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Robert Charles and Juanita Mae Sappenfield and Hardie Arch and Bonnie E. Merritt.
Survivors are his wife, Janet (Kittrell) Sappenfield of the home; three sons, Nickolas Dale and wife, Chantel Sappenfield of Camden, Chad Everett and wife, Brandie Sappenfield of Germany, Kevin Glen and wife, Valerie Sappenfield of Harrison; his mother, Carrie June Gibbons of Western Grove; two brothers, Robert Sappenfield of Bentonville and Marvin Sappenfield of Everton; two sisters, Debbie Breedlove of Valley Springs and Teresa Keener of Bellefonte; and one half-sister; three grandchildren, Alexis Marie, Hunter Avery and Hayden James Sappenfield; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was Monday, April 28, 2008 with funeral service Tuesday, April 29, 2008, both at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Carver Cemetery. Bro. Bobby Williams and Bro. James Kittrell will officiate. Pallbearers are Keith Caddy, Billy Joe Roberts, Rick Watson, Marvin Sims, Rick Widner, and Doug Paderson.
Memorials may be made to the Liberty-Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 12084 Hwy. 62E, Harrison, AR 72601.
