To the County Judge of the County of Schoharie: The petition of Wm S. Clark of the town of Esperance in the county of Schoharie respectfully sheweth that lately, and on or about the 30th day of September one thousand eight hundred and sixty five, Peter P. Teeple died at the town of Esperance in the County of Schoharie, being at the time of his death an inhabitant of said County; That the said deceased left a certain instrument in writing, purporting to be his last Will and Testament, bearing date the 12th day of Feby A.D. 1865, and relates to personal estate. Your Petitioner verily believes said instrument to be the last Will and Testament of the said Peter P. Teeple, deceased, and that the said petitioner is named as the sole executor therein.
The said deceased left him surviving the following persons whose names and places of residence are stated, except where the same have not been ascertained upon diligent inquiry, and being unknown are not stated, to-wit:
Ann Teeple, widow;
Eliza Burns, wife of Henry Burns, of Esperance in the county of Schoharie;
Edward Teeple, Carlisle in said county;
Hannah Maxwell, wife of George Maxwell, Cobleskill in said county;
Catherine M. Folnsbee, wife of Thadeus Folnsbee, Fulton, Schoharie County;
Lana Ann Eggleston, wife of Ebenezer Eggleston, Otsego County, New York;
[5? 8?] children of Harriet Folnsbee, decd., of Charlestown, Montgomery County;
Sophia Sheldon, wife of 'Wm Sheldon, residence unknown;
Frank Crocker, son of Sara Ett Crocker, Darien, Wisconsin.
(Petitioner further deposes and says that he verily believes the inventory will not show of personal estate, the value of five thousand dollars.)
The widow, and those who comprise all the heirs at law and next of kin to the said testator. Your Petitioner prays that said instrument may be proved and recorded as a Will relating to both real and personal estate, and that the usual citations issue to the aforesaid persons to show cause, &c., and that a subpoena issue to Wm. S. Clark & S. C. Teeple, who are subscribing witnesses to the same, living in the State of New York.
