To the Surrogate of the County of Schoharie: The petition of Hiram Brand of the town of Charlestown in the county of Montgomery shewith that Peter Teeple, late of the town of Schoharie in the county of Schoharie, deceased, died at his late residence in the said town on or about the 4th day of June 1843 by committing suicide--that said deceased at the time of his death was an inhabitant of the town and county of Schoharie aforesaid and died intestate as your petitioner verily believes no last will or testament having been found or discovered to his knowledge or belief--that said deceased has left no widow and but two children, Hannah Ann, wife of Edward Horn residing somewhere in the state of Pennsylvania, and Edward Teeple, residing in the town of Schoharie--that said Edward Teeple is a minor under the age of twenty-one years and has no general guardians to the best of the petitioner's knowledge and belief--that said deceased has left personal property not exceeding in value two hundred dollars according to the best of your petitioner's judgment. Your petitioner married a sister of said deceased whose father is dead--that said deceased has some brothers but none residing in the United States--your petitioner is desirous of having Letters of Administration ??? upon the estate of said deceased and prays that he may be appointed administrator thereof.
