Gormond de Picquigny

Gormond, Germond, Guarmond or even Waremond (died in Sidon in 1128), Picard prelate from Picquigny, son or brother of Arnoul de Picquigny (depending on the sources)

At the end of 1110, Guermond imprisoned Adam, lord of Amiens. Geoffroy, bishop of Amiens tries several times to have him released.1

1113-1117, Communal insurrection of Amiens and battles of Enguerrand, Thomas de Marle and the lord of the manor Adam against the bourgeois, Bishop Geoffroy and Vidame Guermond de Picquigny, assisted by Louis le Gros2.

He participated in the Crusades3. He was Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem from 1118 to 1128, successor to Baldwin II. He was a simple, God-fearing man, according to William of Tire. He orders work. He receives the city of Tire in composition. He died in 11284.5.

He was regent of the kingdom of Jerusalem from 1123 to 1124, during the captivity of Baldwin II6.

With Béatrix Daours, daughter of Jean Daours, Lord of Daours, he had for children:

- Gérard Ier, - Adélaïde, and - Constance.
