In de file Karel de Grote reeks III wordt een andere achternaam voor Ada van Brederode gegeven en met trouwdatum in Milaan 1241 Ada Blancha (Maria) della Torre (zeer gedetailleerde informatie "Chronica van de Edele welgeborene Heeren ende Baroenen van Egmond" auteur A. Hovaeus, monnik van de abdij van Egmond en vanaf 1561 abt van Echternach +1568. Daarbij de aantekening dat Aelbert van Egmont +1114 en ouder een legendarische gegeven zijn).

In andere gegevens wordt uitgegaan van Aleidis (Ada) van Brederode *Slot Brederode 1232 +20/1/1297, in tr.1260 met Willem II van Egmont *~1225 +1302/04. Zij zou geboren zijn als dochter van Dirk Drosselaar van Brederode *~1190-+1234 en Alveradis van Heusden *~1190. Dochter: Halewine van Egmond *1260 +1310.
