Notes about Hendrik (Henk) Best

In febr. 1942 met het gezin gevlucht van Sumatra (Rantau) naar Java (Bandoeng). Van voorjaar 1942 - juli 1944 met moeder en zusjes geinterneerd in het vrouwenkamp Tjihapit in Bandoeng. In Juli 1944overgebracht naar het jongenskamp Baros 6 in Tjimahi. Spoedig daarna verenigd met vader en overgeplaatst naar het mannenkamp 4e Bat. in Tjimahi. Hier verbleven tot de bevrijding in Aug. 1945. In1948 naar Holland gekomen, na het behalen van het HBS diploma in Batavia (nu Jakarta). Na voltooing van de HTS opleiding in militaire dienst en opgeleid tot reserve 1e Luitenant. Daarna gewerkt als projektleider bij installatiebureau Wolter & Dros.
