    Villa Northgo en dokter Hermanides
    Als de Noordwijkse huisarts en chirurgijn de Weledelgeleerde Heer C.H. Hermanides in 1906 opdracht geeft aan architect T. Kuipers te Amsterdam een dubbele villa met daartussenin een ziekenhuisje te ontwerpen zal hij niet hebben kunnen bevroeden welke dramatische gebeurtenissen er zich in zijn leven zouden gaan ontwikkelen.
    In de Villa Norhtgo (of Northgo of Nortgho) had dokter Hermanides vroeger zijn woonverblijf en artsenpraktijk. Maar hij had er ook een klein hospitaaltje, annex ‘herstellingsoord.’ Ruimte genoeg.
