In naam der Koning! De arrondissementsrechtbank te Winschoten geeft hierbij te kennen: Hinderika
Klatter, wonende te Oude Pekela, dat zij op 5 juli 1855 is gehuwd met Tonnis Pottjewijd,
scheepskapitein, met wie zij laatstelijk heeft gewoond te Oude Pekela; dat haar genoemde echtgenoot
op 28 febr. 1867, terwijl hij zich met zijn schip bevond te Fray Beutes nabij Buenos Aires in
tegenwoordigheid van verzoekster, plotseling is overleden; dat de stukken betreffende dat overlijden
ingevolge afspraak met verzoekster gemaakt door de Consul der Nederlanden te Buenos Aires zouden
worden ingereedheid gebracht en aan haar in Nederland verzonden; dat die documenten echter
blijkbaar in het ongerede zijn geraakt, althans nimmer in Nederland zijn gearriveerd; dat het overlijden
van haar echtgenoot intussen een feit is, hetwelk geconstateerd zou kunnen worden door de verklaring
van verschillende getuigen die met haar daarbij tegenwoordig zijn geweest; dat zij er belang bij heeft
dat van dat overlijden een akte van overlijden in de registers van de Burgerlijke Stand wordt
ingeschreven, waarom de verzoekster de vrijheid neemt eerbiedig te verzoeken dat het de Rechtbank
behage, na het horen van getuigen, alsnog een dergelijke akte wordt ingeschreven, hetgeen door de
Rechtbank wordt toegestaan.
