Grietman van Wymbritseradeel. Hij wordt met zijn vrouw geportretteerd in 1576; de dan vermelde leeftijden van 23 en 21 jaar kunnen niet juist zijn.
Recesboek IDA d.d. 1578: Syds en Tet genoemd als echtpaar.
HvF 16702-125 d.d. 20-10-1586: Anna van Mockema procedeert tegen hem.
HvF 16703-388 d.d. 28-10-1589: Anna van Mockema, ook voor haar broer Salvius, contra zijn vrouw Tetcke Douma.

Syds Botnia trouwde Tet Douma, dochter van Douue Douma bij Tietke Abbema." Zij bewonen in 1610 de uit de familie Douwema afkomstige borg
Klein Luurserna te Feerwerd in Middagsterland. Ook in Friesland hebben zij een huis: Hottingastate in Nijland. Syts Botnia is daar grietman van Wymbrit-
seradeel. Hij sterft in 1615, zij in 1620; ze werden In Nijland begraven.
Van Syds Botnla en Tet Douma zijn portretten uit 1576 bewaard gebleven; zij waren toen 23 en 21 jaar oud.
Als kinderen van Syds en Tet noemt Burmania
(In deze volgorde): 3. Douue Botuia;" 2. Tied Botnia x Hessel Botsma; 1. Bauck Botnia; 4. Frouck Botnia; 5. Sids Botnia; 6. Sids Botnia; 7. Jel Botnia; 8. Janke Botnia.
