Na de scheiding van haar vader met haar moeder Geertje Hut gaat zij op 6 december 1902 wonen bij haar moeder Geertje Hut. Zij blijft ongehuwd en treedt in het klooster van de Zusters van O.L.Vrouw te Lage Vuursche waar zij op 90 jarige leeftijd komt te overlijden. Op 22-07-1911 verschijnt in de krant Het Nieuws van den Dag een bericht over twee weggelopen meisjes. Één daarvan is Brendina Dijst, oud 15 jaar, die sinds 13 juli weggelopen is uit haar dienst. Gezien de leeftijd en de voornaam is het aannemelijk dat het gaat om Arendina Adriana. Waarom zij is weggelopen is gissen.
