Notes about Dirk VI van Holland

Deed samen met zijn echtgenote vele schenkingen aan Egmond en ondernameen tocht naar het Heilige Land (1139). Hij wist Rijnland bij Holland inte lijven en kon sinds 1151 (via zijn schoonmoeder) aanspraken doengelden op Midden-Friesland hetgeen tot conflict met de bisschop vanUtrecht leidde. Hij werd kort voor zijn dood, vanwege een conflict om dekerk van Vlaardingen, door de abt van Egmond in de ban gedaan (bron:'Karel de Grote (I)', Gens Nostra XLV (1990) 10-11 (oktober-november)375).
