    Michel Rüsser, geboren ca. 1684. Zijn achternaam wordt ook wel geschreven als Riszer, Ruysser of Ruischer. Hij trouwde als Michiel Ruyser, j.m., "gebooren int canton van Bernn" op 27 mei 1713 voor het gerecht van Kampen met Anna Jennings, wed. "geboren in 't canton van Bernn". Oorspronkelijk ging hij naar Kampen. Daar werd hij op 18 december 1721 ingeschreven als kleinburger. Later trok hij naar de Groninger Veenkoloniën. Volgens het "Meetboek" van 1742 bezat hij een gedeelte van een plaats (= boerderij) aan de oostzijde van Kalkwijk. Hij was oudste van 1712 tot 1759.

    De oorspronkelijke familienaam zou Ruessels zijn.
