Cornelis trouwt omstreeks 1710 met Grijetije Egbers, mogelijk een dochter van Egbert Egberts, landbouwer en kuiper in Noordbroeksterhamrik, en Eje Berends. Grijetije is lidmaat der doopsgezinde gemeente in 1716.
