Notes about Matthias Jansonius

Beroep: advocaat voor het Hof van Friesland. Hij werd aan het Hof benoemd op 13 juni 1667.

Uit de processtukken van het Hof van Friesland komt voor de behandeling van een vechtpartij tussen Ids Jans en de secretaris van Baarderadeel, ene Matthias Jansonius, in het najaar van 1698. Een tweede bron vermeld een huwelijk met ene Aletta of Aaltje Bruinsma. Dit kan echter een andere Matthias zijn, bijvoorbeeld de zoon die ook Matthias heette. Dit is zeer waarschijnlijk, omdat er een tweede Matthias Jansonius is die benoemd werd als advocaat van het Hof van Friesland, maar dan op 17 juni 1684, ruim een jaar na het overlijden van de eerste Matthias.

In de huwelijksstukken met Grietje Bonnema wordt zijn achternaam ook geschreven als MATTEUS of MATHIAS.
