    Van 1613 tot 1618 bekleedde hij diverse stedelijke bestuursfuncties. Van Dompselaer werd bij de wetsverzetting door prins Maurits in 1618 van zijn functies ontheven en was sindsdien niet meer bestuurlijk actief
