In 1639 bekomt hij afdracht en oprukking van het herengoed de Midden-Veelhorst. Zijn broer is Wichman Jacobs en zijn zus Lambertje Jacobs. Hij heeft een dochter Hilletje, die trouwt met Ds. P. Martinius uit Nunspeet. Zijn dochter Aaltje Diecemers trouwt in 1702 met Harmen Wychmans Rensen, de opvolger van de grote Hartger Rensen. De dochter van Harmen trouwt weer met Diecemers kleinzoon Diecemer Jacobs.
