    Life Legacy
    Alfred A. "Trip" Franklin III, 39, of Sarasota, Florida passed away October 10, 2011. Trip was born on January 20, 1972 in Tampa, Florida to Alfred A. Franklin Jr. and Melodee (Gaffney) Franklin. He and his father owned Florida Down Under, a dive store and charter operation in Sarasota. He then went to work for the Sarasota Sheriff's Office in 2000. He was very proud to serve the finest deputies each day, as a very beloved dispatcher. He enjoyed hunting, diving, spear fishing, boating, but most importantly his family. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, wife, Mandy Franklin, two children Russell and Raegan, and his mother Melodee Cook-Harris. He was predeceased by his father Alfred A. Franklin Jr. and grandmother Martha Jeanette Franklin. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at Suncoast Community Church, 8000 Hawkins Road, Sarasota, FL 34231. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Franklin Children's Scholarship Fund with Edward Jones Investments, c/o Greg Mills at (941) 809-6759. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Gendron Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., 135 N. Lime Ave, Sarasota, FL 34237 941-365-1767. Online condolences may be made at www.gendronfuneralhome.com.
