Possible. La filiation avec ses parents reste à vérifier : Jacques Saillot n'en parle pas mais on la trouve dans la généalogie de Marie-Claire Bauché. En revanche, dans cette dernière, il manque visiblement une génération (Geoffroi de Montfort, né vers 1180, serait le fils de Guillaume Ier, mort en 1157 !). Nous avons émis l'hypothèse qu'il y aurait 2 Guillaume successifs.
