Abrahams tweede zoon, Hendrik Jan Schut, geboren 1755, was pachter van de korenmolen te Wageningen. Hij had op den duur een grote pachtschuld, in 1791 opgelopen tot bijna 2800 gld, waarvan slechts 187 gld kon worden betaald toen Hendriks goederen gerechtelijk werden verkocht. Daar de vader Abraham Schut borg stond, moest hij de schuld aanzuiveren. Dat zal wel de reden zijn geweest, waarom Abraham Schut in mei 1791 op zijn molen een hypotheek vestigde van 2000 gld. Hoewel deze lening na een jaar moest worden terugbetaald, is dit niet geschied. Abraham is in april 1798 overleden en de hypotheek is eerst in 1804 door de erfgenamen afgelost. Abrahams kinderen hebben in november 1802 de molen en het land genaamd de Haverweide voor respectievelijk 3091 en 685 gld verkocht aan mr Johan Hendrik Engelen, secretaris van de stad Arnhem. De molen werd toen omschreven als een vierbaksmolen, elke bak met zes hamers.
