Als een van de eerste voorouders in de Kwartierstaat Westera kwam Immina Bugel tevoorschijn, en meteen bleek dat haar moeder dezelfde naam had. Zoals destijds gebruikelijk was, was Immina Bugel genoemd naar haar oma Imina Derks Scha, en die op haar beurt weer naar haar grootmoeder.

In een parenteel van deze grootmoeder, Imke Geerts, is vervolgens te zien in hoeveel gezinnen er een Immina geboren is. Dat zijn er behoorlijk wat, en zo kwam er ook een Immina Westera, een Immina Sanders, een Immina Andringa. Ook is er één (ietwat merkwaardige) mannelijke variant: Imminus.
