In 1873, komend uit Cuijk, geregistreerd in Woensel, Bevolkingsregister Woensel, inv. nr. 184, folio 91, volgnr. 14, vertrokken in 1875 naar Uden

Hoofd der school te Linden
1885 correspondentie van gemeentebestuur Linden betreffende: Door H. van Lindert, hoofd der openbare lagere school te Groot-Linden opgemaakt en door burgemeester en wethouders der gemeente Linden en de schoolopziener in het district 's Hertogenboschgoedgekeurd leerplan voor voornoemde school.

Tegenover de school staat een oude monumentale boerderij "De Romein", hoofdonderwijzer H.van Lindert gaf de boerderij zijn naam. Er waren toen namelijk 15 mogelijk romeinse urnen in de buurt gevonden.

Citaat uit het boek:"LINDEN groot en klein":
Hoofdonderwijzer Hendrik van Lindert was een zeer geziene onderwijzer die veel voor zijn leerlingen overhad. Hij was enorm geïnteresseerd in geschiedenis en toonde veel belangstelling voor opgravingen. Ook gebruikte hij meermalen zijn tekenstift om moooit objecten, zoals de kerk, school, pastorie en boerderij "De Romein"voor het nageslacht vast te leggen. Vele tekeningen versierden jarenlang de gang van de school.
Op 6 april 1910 werd in Groot-Linden feest gevierd omdat hoofdonderwijzer Van Lindert op die dag hherdacht dat hij hier 25 jaar geleden als hoofd der school werd benoemd.
Van 1886 tot 1915 was de heer Hendrik van Lindert bovendien leraar aan de Rijksnormaalschool te Grave waar hij plantkunde, dierkunde en rekenen doceerde.
Op 1 april1923 kon hij van zijn pensien gaan genieten, zijn schoonzoon Jan van Haaren volgde hem tot 1936 als hoofdonderwijzer op.
