I believe that Louisa Rebecca French Vance Sevier is probably the daughter of Thomas French and Elizabeth Smith. Her daughter Elizabeth Vance is living with Elizabeth Smith French in the 1870 census. The age of Elizabeth Vance is given as 10. I believe that this is wrong and she should be listed as about 20 years old. Elizabeth Smith French is probably the maternal grandmother of Elizabeth Vance. Also her son James M Sevier is living in the household of Nathaniel Houston Edens in the 1880 census. Nathaniel Houston Edens is the son of Joanna French Edens. This makes me believe that Louisa Rebecca French Vance Sevier and Joanna French Edens were probably sisters.
