Cornelis Franciscus Ophem trad in bij de franciscanen op 07-09-1935 te Vlodrop en kreeg als kloosternaam: Andreas. Van 1936 tot 1943 studeerde hij filosofie en theologie te Alverna (gemeente Wijchen) en Weert. Op 04-04-1943 werd hij te Weert tot priester gewijd. Op 24-08-1968 heeft hij de orde verlaten en is uitgetreden en woonde toen in Amsterdam. Op 08-04-1994 is hij in Amersfoort overleden.
