Notes about Grietje - Gré van Zanen

Nadat moeder Hilletje van Zaanen-Tromp in 1917 overleed waren de kinderen wees. Ze werden bij familie ondergebracht. Pie schrijft hierover in haar Herinneringen:

 

“Na de begrafenis moest er gesproken worden hoe we verder moesten gaan. Teun moest in militaire dienst. Tet ging meteen trouwen [met Maarten van Vuure]. We ontvingen een brief uit Z’dam dat ik [Pie, ze was 13 jaar]  bij tante Vrouwtje [van Vuure] en oom Piet [Dierdorp] kon komen en Klaas en Gré [van Vuure - van Zanen] namen Pau [van 9 jaar] en Jaap [van 6 jaar] in hun gezin op. Ger [van Vuure, de vader van Marianne] was toen 2 jaar. Een enorm goede daad van mijn oudste zuster en haar man. (…). 

Bij de geboorte staat haar achternaam geschreven als van Zanen!
