De oudst bekende voorvaderen Van de Streek leefden eerst op "bovenstreek" in de gemeente Oldebroek. Na 1735 gaat Egbert Gerrits in Oosterwolde wonen, waar hij trouwde en zich vestigde in de buurtschap "de streek". Daar komt dan ook onze achternaam vandaan: Van de Streek! Toen omstreeks 1990 bij de oudheidkundige vereniging "De Broeklanden" te Oldebroek het boek met de genealogie van het "oud veluws geslacht Van de Streek" verscheen is mijn belangstelling voor genealogie gewekt. Eigenlijk - is later bij me opgekomen - zou ook de ontwikkeling van ná 1990 vastgelegd moeten worden. Terwijl er ook nog wel hiaten in het boek (b.v. van geëmigreerde familieleden) om aanvulling vroegen. Dankzij een aantal lijnen naar de USA kon al een belangrijk deel van de familie achterhaald worden. Maar nog niet compleet, wat ook te maken kan hebben met de veramerikaanste schrijfwijze: Vande Streek, Vander Streek en nog veel meer variaties. Daarom ben ik vooral geïnteresseerd in aanvullingen, die me verder op weg kunnen helpen naar de VandeStreek-family in de USA !
Intussen is het onderzoek uitgebreid naar allerlei zijtakken van de stamboom, zoals Kroon, Van Ginkel, Van 't Land etc. etc.
Dus de vlag "stamboom Van de Streek"dekt allang de lading niet meer!
The oldest ancestors Van de Streek firstly lived on the "bovenstreek" in the municipality Oldebroek. After 1735 Egbert Gerrits lives in Oosterwolde. He there married and lived in the hamlet "de streek". There our surname comes from: Van (= from) de Streek! Since (around 1990) a book about the genealogy of the "Old veluwse family Van de Streek" was published, my interest for genealogy was aroused. By retirement I became rather more time for instance to complete the genealogy of my family (Van de Streek) since the appearance of the book. Particularly I want to examine the branches of the pedigree, which has developed in the USA. The book concerning our family does not mention the developments of Van de Streek's in the USA. Nevertheless many have emigrated and they found a new homeland over there. My first interest is to find out who's who with the name VandeStreek in the USA. I am very curious about response, please mail me and tell me about your "Van de Streek-data"!
In the meantime my research has been enlarged with some branches of the family-tree, like Kroon, Van Ginkel, Van 't Land and many others. So the name "genealogy Van de Streek" is no more closely related with the content.
